वृषादर्भिरुवाच
(प्रतिग्रहो ब्राह्मणानां सृष्टा वृत्तिरनिन्दिता।)
प्रतिग्रहस्तारयति पुष्टिर्वै प्रतिगृह्यताम्।
मयि यद् विद्यते वित्तं तद् वृणुध्वं तपोधना:॥ २७॥ |

| तब वृषदर्भि ने कहा—प्रतिग्रह ब्राह्मणों के लिए नियत सर्वोत्तम वृत्ति है। तपदान! प्रतिग्रह ब्राह्मणों को अकाल और भूख की पीड़ा से बचाता है और पोषण का सर्वोत्तम साधन है। अतः आप मेरे पास जो धन है, उसे स्वीकार करके ग्रहण करें॥ 27॥ |

| Then Vrishadharbhi said—Pratigraha is the best profession fixed for Brahmins. Tapadhan! Pratigraha protects Brahmins from the pain of famine and hunger and is the best means of nourishment. Therefore, please accept and take the wealth that I have.॥ 27॥ |
