तदनन्तर निमि चतुर्दशी के दिन परम बुद्धिमान पुरुष ने श्राद्ध में अर्पित की जाने वाली समस्त वस्तुओं को एकत्रित किया और केवल अपने पुत्र के शोक की चिन्ता करने लगा। रात्रि बीत जाने पर वह प्रातःकाल उठकर (अमावस्या को श्राद्ध करने के लिए) उठ गया। 8॥
Thereafter, on the day of Nimi Chaturdashi, the most intelligent person collected all the things that could be offered in Shraddha and was worried only about the grief of his son. After the night passed, he got up early in the morning (to perform Shraddha on Amavasya). 8॥
