ब्राह्मणो ह्यनधीयानस्तृणाग्निरिव शाम्यति।
तस्मै श्राद्धं न दातव्यं न हि भस्मनि हूयते॥ ४५॥
अनुवाद
जैसे तृण और घास की अग्नि शीघ्र ही बुझ जाती है, वैसे ही अध्ययनहीन ब्राह्मण अपनी कान्ति खो देता है। अतः उसे श्राद्ध का दान नहीं देना चाहिए, क्योंकि भस्म से कोई हवन नहीं करता ॥45॥
Just as the fire of straw and hay soon extinguishes, similarly a Brahmin without study loses his luster. Therefore, he should not be given the donation for Shraddha, because no one performs havan with ashes. ॥ 45॥
