अथवा वह नियमानुसार व्रत करके मघा नक्षत्र में ही हाथी के शरीर की छाया में बैठकर उसके कानरूपी पात्र से वायु ग्रहण करके विधिपूर्वक विशेष अन्न-चावल की खीर या लौह शाक से हमारा श्राद्ध करेगा?॥8॥
‘Or, after observing the fast as per the rules, will he, sitting in the shadow of the elephant's body in the Magha Nakshatra itself, inhaling air from its ear-like dish, perform our Shraddha ritual with special food-rice porridge or Loha vegetable as per the rituals?॥ 8॥
