वानर उवाच
सदा चाहं फलाहारो ब्राह्मणानां प्लवङ्गम:।
तस्मान्न ब्राह्मणस्वं तु हर्तव्यं विदुषा सदा।
समं विवादो मोक्तव्यो दातव्यं स प्रतिश्रुतम्॥ १५॥ |

| बंदर बोला - मैं सदैव ब्राह्मणों के फल चुराकर खाता था। इसी पाप के कारण मैं बंदर बना हूँ। इसलिए बुद्धिमान पुरुष को चाहिए कि ब्राह्मणों का धन कभी न चुराए। उनसे कभी झगड़ा न करे और जो कुछ भी उन्हें देने का वचन दिया हो, उसे अवश्य लौटा दे॥ 15॥ |

| The monkey said - I always used to steal the fruits of Brahmins and eat them. Due to this sin I became a monkey. Therefore, a wise man should never steal the wealth of a Brahmin. He should never quarrel with them and whatever has been promised to them, he should definitely give it back.॥ 15॥ |
