पावकस्तु न तत्रासीच्छापकाले भृगूद्वह।
देवा देव्यास्तथा शापादनपत्यास्ततोऽभवन्॥ ७६॥

हे भृगु! उस शाप के समय अग्निदेव वहाँ उपस्थित नहीं थे, इसलिए वह शाप उन पर लागू नहीं हुआ। देवी के शाप के कारण अन्य सभी देवता संतानहीन हो गए। 76.
O great Bhrigu! At the time of that curse, Agnidev was not present there; hence the curse did not apply to him. All other gods became childless due to the curse of the goddess. 76.
