गौएँ संसार की सर्वश्रेष्ठ वस्तु हैं। वे संसार को जीवन देने के कार्य में लगी रहती हैं। भगवान शंकर सदैव उनके साथ रहते हैं। वे चन्द्रमा से निकलने वाले अमृत से उत्पन्न हुई हैं और शांत, पवित्र, समस्त कामनाओं को पूर्ण करने वाली तथा संसार को जीवन देने वाली हैं; इसलिए जो मनुष्य गौ दान करता है, वह समस्त कामनाओं को देने वाला माना जाता है ॥31॥
Cows are the best thing in the world. They are engaged in the work of giving life to the world. Lord Shankar always stays with them. They are born from the nectar that comes out of the moon and are calm, pure, fulfill all the desires and give life to the world; hence the person who donates a cow is considered to be the giver of all the desires. ॥ 31॥
