अपहृत्य तु यो गां वै ब्राह्मणाय प्रयच्छति।
यावद् दानफलं तस्यास्तावन्निरयमृच्छति॥ ६॥
अनुवाद
जो मनुष्य किसी दूसरे की गाय चुराकर ब्राह्मण को दान करता है, वह उतने ही समय तक नरक में कष्ट भोगता है, जितने समय तक शास्त्रों में गौदान का पुण्य बताया गया है ॥6॥
One who steals someone else's cow and donates it to a Brahmin, suffers in hell for the same length of time as is prescribed in the scriptures to enjoy the merit of donating a cow. ॥ 6॥
