वैश्यस्यैते यदि गुणास्तस्य पञ्चशतं भवेत्।
शूद्रस्यापि विनीतस्य चतुर्भागफलं स्मृतम्॥ २५॥
अनुवाद
यदि वैश्य में उपर्युक्त गुण हों, तो एक गौ दान करने पर उसे भी ब्राह्मण की अपेक्षा पाँच सौ गौ दान का फल (आधा) मिलता है। और दीन शूद्र को ढाई सौ गौ दान करने का फल एक चौथाई अर्थात् ब्राह्मण का फल मिलता है।॥25॥
If a Vaishya possesses the above-mentioned qualities, then on donating one cow, he too gets the reward of donating five hundred cows (half) as compared to a Brahmin. And a humble Shudra gets one-fourth of the reward of donating two hundred and fifty cows, that is, a Brahmin's reward.॥ 25॥
