पुनाति दत्ता पृथिवी दातारमिति शुश्रुम॥ ९॥
अपि पापसमाचारं ब्रह्मघ्नमपि चानृतम्।
सैव पापं प्लावयति सैव पापात् प्रमोचयेत्॥ १०॥ |

| हमने सुना है कि दान में दी गई भूमि दानकर्ता को पवित्र कर देती है। चाहे वह कितना ही बड़ा पापी, ब्रह्महत्यारा या मिथ्याचारी क्यों न हो, दान में दी गई भूमि दानकर्ता के पापों को धोकर उसे पापों से पूर्णतः मुक्त कर देती है।॥9-10॥ |

| We have heard that the land given in charity purifies the donor. No matter how big a sinner, brahmin-killer or liar he may be, the land given in charity washes away the sins of the donor and makes him completely free from sins.॥ 9-10॥ |
