अथाहु: सर्वमेवैति भूयोऽर्धमिति निश्चय:।
चतुर्थं मतमस्माकं मनो: श्रुत्वानुशासनम्॥ ३५॥ |

| कुछ लोग कहते हैं कि सारे पाप राजा पर पड़ते हैं। कुछ अन्य लोग मानते हैं कि राजा आधे पापों का भागी होता है। किन्तु मनु के उपदेशों को सुनने के बाद हमारा मत है कि राजा को केवल एक-चौथाई पाप ही प्राप्त होता है ॥35॥ |
