(ब्राह्मणानां गवां चैव कुलमेकं द्विधा कृतम्।
एकत्र मन्त्रास्तिष्ठन्ति हविरन्यत्र तिष्ठति॥ )
अनर्घेया महाराज द्विजा वर्णेषु चोत्तमा:।
गावश्च पुरुषव्याघ्र गौर्मूल्यं परिकल्प्यताम्॥ २२॥ |

| महाराज! ब्राह्मण और गौएँ एक ही कुल के हैं, परन्तु उनके दो रूप हो गए हैं। एक स्थान पर मंत्र हैं और दूसरे स्थान पर हवि हैं। पुरुषसिंह! ब्राह्मण सब वर्णों में श्रेष्ठ हैं। उनका और गौओं का कोई मूल्य नहीं है; अतः आप उनके बदले में एक गौ देने की कृपा करें।॥22॥ |

| ‘Maharaj! Brahmins and cows belong to the same clan, but they have been divided into two forms. In one place are the mantras and in the other place are the offerings. Purushsingh! Brahmins are the best among all the castes. There is no price for them and cows; therefore, please give one cow in exchange for them.’॥22॥ |
