देवशर्मोवाच
यद् वै तन्मिथुनं ब्रह्मन्नहोरात्रं हि विद्धि तत्।
चक्रवत् परिवर्तेत तत् ते जानाति दुष्कृतम्॥ ४॥
ये च ते पुरुषा विप्र अक्षैर्दीव्यन्ति हृष्टवत्।
ऋतूंस्तानभिजानीहि ते ते जानन्ति दुष्कृतम्॥ ५॥ |

| देवशर्मा बोले - ब्रह्मन्! तुमने जो स्त्री-पुरुष का जोड़ा देखा, उसे दिन और रात के समान समझो। वे दोनों चक्र के समान घूमते रहते हैं, इसलिए वे तुम्हारे पाप को जानते हैं। ब्रह्मन्! और जो छह पुरुष बड़े आनन्द से जुआ खेलते देखे गए थे, उन्हें भी छह ऋतुएँ समझो; वे भी तुम्हारे पाप को जानते हैं। |
