एता: कृत्याश्च कार्याश्च कृताश्च भरतर्षभ।
न चैकस्मिन् रमन्त्येता: पुरुषे पाण्डुनन्दन॥ २४॥ |

| हे भरतश्रेष्ठ! पाण्डुपुत्र! ये स्त्रियाँ पुरुषों के प्राणों का हरण करने वाली कृत्याओं के समान हैं। जब कोई पुरुष इन्हें पहले ग्रहण करता है, तब पीछे ये दूसरे पुरुष को ग्रहण योग्य हो जाती हैं, अर्थात् व्यभिचार के पाप के कारण ये एक पुरुष को छोड़कर दूसरे में आसक्त हो जाती हैं। एक पुरुष में इनकी आसक्ति सदा नहीं रहती।॥ 24॥ |
