पूर्वसर्गे तु कौन्तेय साध्व्यो नार्य इहाभवन्॥ ८॥
असाध्व्यस्तु समुत्पन्ना: कृत्या: सर्गात् प्रजापते:।
ताभ्य: कामान् यथाकामं प्रादाद्धि स पितामह:॥ ९॥ |

| कुन्तीनन्दन! सृष्टि के आदि में यहाँ की सभी स्त्रियाँ अपने पति परायण थीं। प्रजापति की इस नई सृष्टि से कर्मरूपी दुष्ट स्त्रियाँ उत्पन्न हुई हैं। प्रजापति ने उन्हें उनकी इच्छानुसार काम प्रदान किया है। 8-9॥ |
