युधिष्ठिर उवाच
स्त्रीणां स्वभावमिच्छामि श्रोतुं भरतसत्तम।
स्त्रियो हि मूलं दोषाणां लघुचित्ता हि ता: स्मृता:॥ १॥
अनुवाद
युधिष्ठिर बोले, "भरतश्रेष्ठ! मैं स्त्रियों के स्वभाव का वर्णन सुनना चाहता हूँ; क्योंकि स्त्रियाँ समस्त बुराइयों की जड़ हैं। वे अल्पबुद्धि मानी जाती हैं।
