अपीडयन् भृत्यवर्गमित्येवमनुशुश्रुम।
पीडयन् भृत्यवर्गं हि आत्मानमपकर्षति॥ ३॥ |

| परन्तु हमने सुना है कि 'दान देने वाले को उस समुदाय को कष्ट दिए बिना दान देना चाहिए जिसका भरण-पोषण उसके दायित्व में है। जो आश्रितों को कष्ट देकर या भूखा रखकर दान देता है, वह अपना ही पतन करता है।'॥3॥ |
