ध्रुव तथा ब्रह्मर्षियों (सप्तर्षियों) के बीच उत्तर आकाश में तारा के रूप में सदैव प्रकाशित रहने वाले उत्तानपाद के पुत्र विश्वामित्र क्षत्रिय हुए हैं। हे कुरुपुत्र! उनके इन तथा अन्य अनेक अद्भुत कर्मों का स्मरण करके मुझे यह जानने की जिज्ञासा हुई है कि वे ब्राह्मण कैसे हुए॥15-16॥
Vishwamitra, who always shines in the form of a star in the northern sky among Dhruva and the Brahmarishis (Saptarishis), the son of Uttanapada, has been a Kshatriya. O son of Kuru! Remembering these and many other wonderful deeds of his, I have become curious to know how he became a Brahmin.॥15-16॥
