गुहस्य रुक्मस्य च गर्भयोषा।
प्रातस्त्रिवर्गा घृतवहा विपाप्मा
गङ्गावतीर्णा वियतो विश्वतोया॥ ८८॥ | | | | | | अनुवाद | | जो मनुष्य 'यह गंगाजी हैं' कहकर उन्हें अन्य लोगों को दिखाता है, उसके लिए भगवती भागीरथी निश्चित रूप से पूज्य (अमर पद देने वाली) हैं। वे अपने गर्भ में कार्तिकेय और स्वर्ण को धारण करती हैं, पवित्र जल की धारा बहाती हैं और पापों का नाश करती हैं। वे आकाश से पृथ्वी पर अवतरित हुई हैं। उनका जल समस्त जगत के लिए पीने योग्य है। प्रातःकाल उनमें स्नान करने से धर्म, अर्थ और काम तीनों की प्राप्ति होती है। 88। | | | | For the one who shows her to other people by saying, 'This is Gangaji', Bhagwati Bhagirathi is sure to be respected (giver of immortal position).
