भीष्म उवाच
येषां दारा: प्रतीक्षन्ते सुवृष्टिमिव कर्षका:।
उच्छेषपरिशेषं हि तान् भोजय युधिष्ठिर॥ ४९॥ |

| भीष्म ने कहा, "युधिष्ठिर! जिस प्रकार किसान वर्षा की प्रतीक्षा करता है, उसी प्रकार तुम उन गरीब ब्राह्मणों को भोजन कराओ जिनकी पत्नियाँ अपने पतियों के भोजन करने के बाद बचे हुए भोजन की प्रतीक्षा करती हैं (अर्थात जिनके घरों में पके हुए भोजन के अलावा अन्य कोई भोजन नहीं होता)।" |
