पृथ्वीनाथ! देवताओं की यह बात सुनकर अत्रि ने अंधकार को दूर करने वाले चन्द्रमा का रूप धारण कर लिया और सोम के समान दिखने लगे। वे शांत भाव से देवताओं की ओर देखने लगे। उस समय चन्द्रमा और सूर्य को मंद प्रकाश से चमकते देखकर अत्रि ने अपनी तपस्या से युद्धस्थल में प्रकाश फैला दिया और सम्पूर्ण जगत को अंधकार से मुक्त कर प्रकाशमय कर दिया। 8-10।
Prithvinath! On hearing the gods say this, Atri assumed the form of the moon which dispels darkness and started looking like Som. He looked at the gods calmly. Seeing the moon and sun shining dimly at that time, Atri spread light in the battlefield with his penance and made the entire world free from darkness and illuminated. 8-10.
