अथागम्य महाराज नमस्कृत्य च कश्यपम्।
पृथिवी काश्यपी जज्ञे सुता तस्य महात्मन:॥ ७॥
अनुवाद
महाराज! तत्पश्चात पृथ्वी ब्रह्मलोक से लौटकर महर्षि कश्यप को प्रणाम करके उनकी पुत्री के रूप में रहने लगी। तभी से उसका नाम कश्यपी हो गया।
Maharaj! Thereafter the earth returned from Brahmaloka and bowed down to the great sage Kashyap and started living as his daughter. From then on her name became Kashyapi.
