उमोवाच
ऊहवान् ब्राह्मणो लोके नित्यमक्षरमव्ययम्।
अस्त्यात्मा सर्वदेहेषु हेतुस्तत्र सुदुर्गम:॥ |

| उमान ने कहा - प्रभु! इस संसार में विचारशील ब्राह्मण हमें यह तो बताते हैं कि सम्पूर्ण शरीर में एक अनादि, अमर, अविनाशी आत्मा अवश्य विद्यमान है। किन्तु उसकी सत्यता का कारण क्या है, यह जानना अत्यन्त कठिन है। |
