श्राद्ध में तीन चीज़ें पवित्र मानी जाती हैं- पौत्र, कुतपकाल (दिन के पंद्रह भागों का आठवाँ भाग) और तिल। इस कर्म में तीन गुणों की स्तुति की जाती है: पवित्रता, क्रोध का अभाव और एतवार (जल्दबाज़ी न करना)।
Three things are sacred in Shraddha- grandson, Kutapakaala (one eighth of the fifteen parts of the day) and sesame seeds. Three qualities are praised in this work. Purity, absence of anger and atvara (not being in a hurry).
