एतेन विधिना मर्त्य: श्रद्दधान: समाहित:।
चतुरो वार्षिकान् मासान् यो ददाति तिलोदकम्॥ ३॥
भोजनं च यथाशक्त्या ब्राह्मणे वेदपारगे।
पशुबन्धशतस्येह फलं प्राप्नोति पुष्कलम्॥ ४॥ |

| जो मनुष्य श्रद्धा और एकाग्रता से वर्षा ऋतु के चार महीनों में इस प्रकार अपने पितरों को तिल मिश्रित जल अर्पित करता है और वेदवेत्ता ब्राह्मण को यथाशक्ति भोजन कराता है, उसे सौ यज्ञों का पूर्ण फल प्राप्त होता है ॥3-4॥ |

| A person who, with faith and concentration, offers water mixed with sesame seeds to his ancestors in this manner during the four months of the rainy season and feeds a Brahmin well versed in the Vedas to the best of his ability, obtains the full benefit of a hundred yagnas. ॥ 3-4॥ |
