स बुद्धिश्रुतिसम्पन्नस्तं दृष्ट्वातीव भीषणम्।
सामैवास्मिन् प्रयुयुजे न मुमोह न विव्यथे॥ ६॥
अनुवाद
ब्राह्मण न केवल बुद्धिमान था, बल्कि शास्त्रों का ज्ञाता भी था। इसलिए उस अत्यंत भयानक राक्षस को देखकर भी वह न तो भयभीत हुआ, न ही व्यथित हुआ। बल्कि उसने उसके विरुद्ध साम नीति का प्रयोग किया।
