भीष्मजी कहते हैं - राजन ! भगवान व्यास के कथनानुसार उस पूर्व कीट ने दुर्लभ ब्राह्मणत्व प्राप्त करके सैकड़ों यज्ञोपवीतों से पृथ्वी को अंकित किया। तत्पश्चात् ब्रह्मवेत्ताओं में श्रेष्ठ होकर उसने ब्रह्मलोक को प्राप्त किया अर्थात् ब्रह्मलोक में जाकर सनातन ब्रह्म को प्राप्त किया ॥12-13॥
Bhishmaji says – King! According to the words of Lord Vyas, that former insect, after attaining the rare Brahminhood, inscribed the earth with hundreds of Yajnyupas. Thereafter, becoming the best among the Brahma experts, he attained Brahmasalokya i.e. by going to Brahmalok he attained eternal Brahma. 12-13॥
