ततो महिषरूपी स धर्मो धर्मभृतां वर॥

अनुवाद
जब वह शीतल वायु वाली वर्षा थम गई, तब धर्मराज युधिष्ठिर, जो भैंसे का रूप धारण किए हुए थे, वाल्मीकि को छोड़कर चुपचाप वहाँ से चले गए। महातपस्वी वत्सनाभ इसलिए बच गए क्योंकि भैंसे का रूप धारण किए हुए धर्म उस मूसलाधार वर्षा में वहाँ खड़े रहे।
Yudhishthira, the best amongst the virtuous, when that rain with cool breeze stopped, then Dharma who had taken the form of a buffalo quietly left Valmiki and moved away from there. The great ascetic Vatsanaabha was saved because Dharma who had taken the form of a buffalo stood there in that torrential rain.
