यदि तू ब्राह्मण की रक्षा के लिए युद्धरूपी अग्नि में अपने शरीर की आहुति दे दे और उसे कच्चा मांस खाने वाले पशुओं में बाँट दे, तो प्राण त्यागने से तेरा उद्धार हो सकता है; अन्यथा तुझे मोक्ष प्राप्त नहीं हो सकेगा ॥27॥
If, for the sake of saving a Brahmin, you sacrifice your body in the fire of war and distribute it among the animals who eat raw meat, then by sacrificing your life you can be redeemed; otherwise, you will not be able to attain salvation. ॥27॥
