नार्वाक्संवत्सरात् कन्या प्रष्टव्या विक्रमाहृता।
एवमेव धनं सर्वं यच्चान्यत्सहसाऽऽहृतम्॥ ५॥
अनुवाद
यदि राजा अपने पराक्रम से किसी कन्या को जीत ले, तो उसे एक वर्ष तक उससे कोई प्रश्न नहीं पूछना चाहिए (यदि वह कन्या एक वर्ष के बाद किसी अन्य से विवाह करना चाहे, तो उसे लौटा देना चाहिए) इसी प्रकार छल से अचानक अपहरण किए गए समस्त धन के विषय में भी यही समझना चाहिए (वह भी एक वर्ष के बाद उसके स्वामी को लौटा देना चाहिए)॥5॥
If the king wins over a girl by his prowess, he should not ask her any questions for a year (if the girl wishes to marry someone else after a year, she should be returned). Similarly, the same should be understood about all the wealth that is suddenly kidnapped by deceit (it should also be returned to its owner after a year).॥ 5॥
