यथार्थमेव योद्धव्यं न क्रुद्धॺेत जिघांसत:॥ ११॥

युद्ध में विषैले और घातक बाणों का प्रयोग नहीं करना चाहिए। ये दुष्टों के हथियार हैं। युद्ध उचित रीति से लड़ा जाना चाहिए। यदि कोई व्यक्ति युद्ध में किसी को मारना चाहे, तो उस पर क्रोध नहीं करना चाहिए (बल्कि उसे उचित दण्ड देना चाहिए)। 11॥
Poisoned and lethal arrows should not be used in war. These are the weapons of the wicked. War should be fought in the right manner. If a person wants to kill someone in a war, one should not be angry at him (but should be punished as appropriate). 11॥
