अप्रमत्तो भवेद् राजा छिद्रदर्शी परात्मनो:।
नास्यच्छिद्रं पर: पश्येच्छिद्रेषु परमन्वियात्॥ ५५॥ |

| राजा को सदैव सावधान रहना चाहिए। उसे अपनी तथा अपने शत्रु की कमजोरियों पर ध्यान देना चाहिए तथा यह प्रयास करना चाहिए कि शत्रु उसकी कमजोरियों को स्पष्ट रूप से न देख सके; किन्तु यदि उसे अपने शत्रु की कमजोरियों का पता चल जाए, तो उस पर आक्रमण कर देना चाहिए। |
