यदा रक्षति राष्ट्राणि यदा दस्यूनपोहति।
यदा जयति संग्रामे स राज्ञो धर्म उच्यते॥ ३४॥
अनुवाद
जब राजा सम्पूर्ण राष्ट्र की रक्षा करता है, लुटेरों को मारकर भगाता है और युद्धों में विजयी होता है, तब ये सब राजा का कर्तव्य माना जाता है ॥34॥
When the king protects the entire nation, kills and drives away robbers and is victorious in battles, then all this is considered the duty of a king. ॥ 34॥
