इसी प्रकार श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मण, क्षत्रिय, वैश्य और चतुर्थ वर्ण शूद्र आदि लोग यदि अपने-अपने पृथक्-पृथक् कर्तव्यों को जानते हुए भी उनमें तत्पर नहीं रहते, तो उनका होना या न होना एक ही बात है। ॥3॥
Similarly, if the superior Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and the people belonging to the fourth caste, the Shudra, know their separate duties but do not remain engaged in them, then their existence or non-existence is the same. ॥ 3॥
