जब राज्य में प्रजाजन राजा के गुणों की प्रशंसा करते हैं और वैदिक रीति से धर्म के आदर्श का पालन करते हैं, तब राजा पापों से मुक्त हो जाता है। और जब वही प्रजाजन धर्म से मोहित होकर अधर्म करने लगते हैं, तब राजा शीघ्र ही पुण्यहीन हो जाता है॥ 27॥
When the people in the kingdom praise the king's virtues and follow the ideal of Dharma with Vedic rites, then the king becomes free from sins. And when the same people, being fascinated by Dharma, start doing Adharma, then the king very soon becomes devoid of virtue.॥ 27॥
