यदि नात्मनि पुत्रेषु न चेत् पौत्रेषु नप्तृषु।
न हि पापं कृतं कर्म सद्य: फलति गौरिव॥ २१॥
अनुवाद
यदि हमें अपने पापों का फल नहीं मिलता, तो हमारे पुत्र-पौत्रों को अवश्य मिलेगा। जैसे पृथ्वी में बोया गया बीज तुरंत फल नहीं देता, वैसे ही किए गए पाप भी तुरंत फल नहीं देते (समय आने पर ही उसका फल मिलता है)।॥21॥
If we do not get the result of our sins, then our sons and grandchildren will definitely get it. Just like the seed sown in the earth does not give result immediately, similarly the sins committed do not give result immediately (we get its result only when the time comes).॥ 21॥
