आशा और कामना का सर्वथा त्याग कर सबके प्रति समभाव रखो। भोगों से दूर रहो और अपने हृदय में किसी प्रकार का विकार न आने दो। इन सब धर्मों के कारण ही इस आश्रम को 'क्षेमश्रम' (कल्याण प्राप्ति का स्थान) कहते हैं। इस आश्रम में आने वाला ब्राह्मण अविनाशी ब्रह्म से एकता प्राप्त कर लेता है। 9॥
Completely give up hope and desire and have equal feelings towards everyone. Stay away from pleasures and do not let any kind of disorder come into your heart. Because of all these religions, this ashram is called ‘Kshemashram’ (a place to attain welfare). The Brahmin who comes to this ashram attains unity with the immortal Brahma. 9॥
