अब गृहस्थाश्रम के कर्तव्यों को सुनो। जो मनुष्य वेदों का अध्ययन करके तथा वेदविहित समस्त शुभ कर्मों को करके अपनी विवाहिता स्त्री के गर्भ से सन्तान उत्पन्न करता है, उस आश्रम के उचित सुखों का भोग करता है और एकाग्र मन से मुनि के कर्तव्यों सहित कठिन गृहस्थ कर्तव्यों का पालन करता है, वह श्रेष्ठ है।॥10॥
Now listen to the duties of the Grahasthashram. He who, after completing the study of the Vedas and performing all the auspicious deeds prescribed in the Vedas, produces a child from the womb of his married wife, enjoys the just pleasures of that ashram and with a concentrated mind performs the difficult household duties combined with the duties of a sage, is the best.॥10॥
