महाराज! सभी मन्वन्तरों में पृथ्वी ऊँची-नीची होती रहती है; उस समय वेनकुमार पृथु ने धनुष से सब ओर की चट्टानों को उखाड़कर एक स्थान पर एकत्र कर लिया; इसी कारण पर्वतों की लम्बाई, चौड़ाई और ऊँचाई बढ़ गई ॥115 1/2॥
