भीष्म उवाच
ब्राह्मणानां यथा धर्मो दानमध्ययनं तप:।
क्षत्रियाणां तथा कृष्ण समरे देहपातनम्॥ १४॥
अनुवाद
भीष्म बोले, "हे कृष्ण! जिस प्रकार दान, अध्ययन और तप ब्राह्मणों के कर्तव्य हैं, उसी प्रकार युद्धस्थल में शत्रुओं के शवों का संहार करना क्षत्रियों का कर्तव्य है।"
Bhishma said, "Lord Krishna! Just as charity, study and penance are the duties of Brahmins, similarly killing the bodies of enemies in the battlefield is the duty of Kshatriyas."
