वैशम्पायन उवाच
प्रकृतीनां च तद् वाक्यं देशकालोपबृंहितम्।
श्रुत्वा युधिष्ठिरो राजा चोत्तरं प्रत्यभाषत॥ १॥
अनुवाद
वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं - 'जनमेजय! देश और काल के विषय में मन्त्रियों, प्रजा आदि के वचन सुनकर राजा युधिष्ठिर ने उनसे कहा - '॥1॥
Vaishmpayana says, 'Janamejaya! On hearing the words of the ministers, the subjects etc. regarding the country and the times, king Yudhishthira replied to them saying, '॥ 1॥
