जैसे नपुंसक पुरुष स्त्रियों के पास जाकर निष्फल हो जाता है, गाय गौ के साथ सहवास करने पर भी कोई फल नहीं दे सकती और जैसे पंखहीन पक्षी उड़ नहीं सकता, वैसे ही वेदमंत्रों के ज्ञान से रहित ब्राह्मण भी निकम्मा है ॥47॥
Just as an impotent man becomes fruitless by going to women, a cow cannot bear any fruit even if it is mated with a cow and just as a bird without wings cannot fly, similarly a Brahmin devoid of the knowledge of Vedic mantras is also useless. ॥ 47॥
