शुभाशुभफलं प्रेत्य लभते भूतसाक्षिकम्।
अतिरिच्येत यो यत्र तत्कर्ता लभते फलम्॥ ४०॥ |

| मनुष्य जो अच्छे-बुरे कर्म करता है, उसके साक्षी ये पाँच महाभूत हैं। उन अच्छे-बुरे कर्मों का फल उसे मृत्यु के बाद मिलता है। कर्ता को दोनों प्रकार के कर्मों में से जो अधिक अच्छा होता है, उसका फल मिलता है।॥40॥ |
