देवानां तु मतं ज्ञात्वा वसुना पक्षसंश्रयात्॥ १३॥
छागेनाजेन यष्टव्यमेवमुक्तं वचस्तदा। |

| भीष्म कहते हैं - हे राजन! देवताओं का मत जानकर राजा वसु ने उनका पक्ष लिया और कहा कि अज का अर्थ बकरा है, अतः उसी बकरे से यज्ञ सम्पन्न करना चाहिए। |
