भरतनंदन! आगे बढ़ने पर श्री शुकदेवजी को पर्वत के दो दिव्य एवं सुन्दर शिखर दिखाई दिए, जो एक-दूसरे से सटे हुए थे। उनमें से एक हिमालय का शिखर था और दूसरा मेरु पर्वत का। हिमालय का शिखर चाँदी के समान चमकने के कारण श्वेत दिखाई दे रहा था और सुमेरु का स्वर्ण शिखर पीत वर्ण का था। दोनों की लम्बाई, चौड़ाई और ऊँचाई सौ-सौ योजन थी। उत्तर दिशा की ओर जाते समय ये दोनों सुन्दर शिखर शुकदेवजी की दृष्टि में आए।
Bharatanandan! On moving ahead, Shri Shukdevji saw two divine and beautiful peaks of the mountain, which were adjacent to each other. One of them was the peak of Himalayas and the other was of Mount Meru. The peak of Himalayas appeared white due to being silvery and the golden peak of Sumeru was of yellow colour. The length, breadth and height of both of them were hundred yojanas each. While going towards the north, these two beautiful peaks came in the sight of Shukdevji. 8-9.
