श्लोक 12.33.35-36  |
यो हि पापसमारम्भे कार्ये तद्भावभावित:।
कुर्वन्नपि तथैव स्यात् कृत्वा च निरपत्रप:॥ ३५॥
तस्मिंस्तत् कलुषं सर्वं समाप्तमिति शब्दितम्।
प्रायश्चित्तं न तस्यास्ति ह्रासो वा पापकर्मण:॥ ३६॥ |

| जो मनुष्य अपने हृदय में पाप भावना रखकर किसी पापकर्म में प्रवृत्त होता है, उसे करते हुए भी उसी भावना से ग्रस्त रहता है और पापकर्म करके भी लज्जित नहीं होता, उसमें समस्त पाप पूर्णतः स्थापित हो जाते हैं, ऐसा शास्त्रों का कथन है। उसके लिए कोई प्रायश्चित नहीं है और प्रायश्चित से भी उसका पापकर्म नष्ट नहीं होता। ॥35-36॥ |

| The person who indulges in any sinful act with a sinful feeling in his heart, remains affected by the same feeling even while doing it and is not ashamed even after committing the sinful act, all the sins get completely established in him, this is the statement of the scriptures.
