जहाँ अनेक ज्ञेय अर्थ हों तथा जहाँ 'यह बर्तन है, यह कपड़ा है' आदि वस्तुओं का पृथक्-पृथक् ज्ञान हो, ऐसे स्थानों में उचित निर्णय करने वाली बुद्धि को सौक्ष्म्य कहते हैं। 81।
Where there are many different knowable meanings and where there is separate knowledge of things like 'this is a pot, this is a cloth', the intelligence that makes the right decision in such places is called Saukshmya. 81.
