यमे च नियमे चैव कामे द्वेषे परिग्रहे।
माने दम्भे तथा स्नेहे सदृशास्ते कुटुम्बिभि:॥ ४१॥
अनुवाद
यम, नियम, काम, द्वेष, मद, अभिमान, मद और मोह इन नियमों का पालन करने से संन्यासी भी उनसे होने वाले लाभ-हानि की दृष्टि से गृहस्थों के समान ही हैं। अर्थात् यम-नियम आदि का पालन करने से गृहस्थ भी मोक्ष प्राप्त कर सकते हैं और कामना-द्वेष रखने से संन्यासी भी मोक्ष से वंचित रह सकता है।॥ 41॥
By following the rules of Yama, Niyama, lust, hatred, possession, pride, conceit and love, the sanyasis too are equal to householders in terms of the gains and losses that result from them. That is, by practising Yama-Niyama etc., householders too can achieve salvation and by having desire and hatred, even a sanyasis can be deprived of salvation.॥ 41॥
