कुछ विद्वान् लोग इन तीस कलाओं का उपादान कारण अव्यक्त प्रकृति को मानते हैं। अन्य स्थूल दृष्टि वाले विचारक व्यक्त अर्थात् परमाणुओं को ही कारण मानते हैं और कुछ लोग अव्यक्त और व्यक्त दोनों अर्थात् प्रकृति और परमाणुओं को ही इनका उपादान कारण मानते हैं ॥114॥
Some scholars consider the unmanifested nature to be the material cause of these thirty arts. Other gross-sighted thinkers consider the manifested, i.e. atoms, to be the cause and some consider both the unmanifested and the manifested, i.e. nature and atoms, to be their material causes.॥ 114॥
