जैसे मन को वश में करने वाला सावधान मनुष्य हाथ में तेल से भरा कटोरा लेकर सीढ़ियों से ऊपर चढ़ता है और उस समय तलवारें लिए हुए बहुत से मनुष्य उसे डराने लगते हैं, तब भी वह उनके भय से बर्तन से तेल की एक बूँद भी नहीं गिरने देता, उसी प्रकार योग की सर्वोच्च अवस्था को प्राप्त हुआ एकाग्र योगी इन्द्रियों की स्थिरता और मन की अविचल अवस्था के कारण समाधि से विचलित नहीं होता। ऐसे ही योग की सर्वोच्च अवस्था को प्राप्त योगी के लक्षण समझने चाहिए।
Just as a careful person who controls his mind climbs up the stairs with a bowl full of oil in his hands and at that time many men with swords in their hands start threatening him, even then out of fear of them he does not let even a single drop of oil fall from the vessel, similarly a concentrated Yogi who has attained the highest state of Yoga does not get disturbed from Samadhi due to the stability of the senses and the unwavering state of the mind. Such should be understood as the characteristics of a Yogi who has attained the highest state of Yoga.
